whats new in sage 100 version 2022.1

In June 2022, Sage released Sage 100 2022.1. In this article, we’ll look at what’s new in this Sage release. To get an overview of all the updates that were made in Sage 100 version 2022, read our last blog article about the Sage 100 version 2022 release here.

Now let’s look at what’s new in Sage 100 2022.1

The two updates in Sage 100 version 2022.1 include updates to Inventory Requirements Planning and Library Master Updates. Let’s look at these changes more in-depth below.

Inventory Requirements Planning

This module is compatible with the latest version of Production Management. It is automatically installed and registered if you already have the Production Management module installed and registered.

  • Inventory Requirements Planning and Material Requirements Planning cannot be activated at the same time: While both modules can be installed in Sage 100 version 2022.1, they cannot be activated simultaneously for the same company. Activating Inventory Requirements Planning will deactivate Material Requirements Planning for that company.
  • Data Conversion and Material Requirements Planning: You now have the option of converting your Material Requirements Planning (MRP) data to Inventory Requirements Planning (IRP) data. You can also choose to proceed with the IRP setup without converting your MRP data. However, please be aware that not converting your MRP data will still remove your MRP data.
  • Maintain Projected Demands Added to the Main Menu: You can manually enter demand information using this feature prior to generating your IRP data file.

Library Master Updates

The Library Master module is where you set up and configure companywide preferences in your Sage 100 system. This is also where you manage a lot of maintenance tasks in this system.

Some of the updates in the Library Master Module include:

  • Data File Display and Maintenance Updates – Two new options have been added to the Operator list in the Filter window. These options allow you to find records that contain carriage return/line feed characters and non-printable characters.
  • In the Select Fields window, you can now select up to 25 fields to display in columns in the Key Scan window.
