Whats new in Sage 100 2022?

Sage continues to show their commitment to the Sage 100 software userbase by investing its resources in releasing product updates to enhance the user experience and improve the product’s capabilities. In this article, we will give you a high-level overview of what’s new in Sage 100 2022.  This software version was released in April 2022.

Now let’s look at what’s new in Sage 100 2022?

  • Sage Production Management – Now with the base installation of Sage 100, you can access Sage Production Management. This will make it easy for you to upgrade and streamline your overall experience while navigating the solution.
  • Work Ticket Entry – You can now view all the steps of creating a work ticket in Sage 100 2022 on one screen. Work ticket memos, work ticket history memos, and work ticket step history memos can now be searched and navigated to, easily as well.
  • Labor Entry – Some of the improvements that have been made in Labor Entry include full visibility into all work tickets. Managing payroll has also been simplified so you can easily retrieve employee work hours from Sage Production Management.
  • Visual Process Flows – Three new visual process flows have been added to Sage 100.
    • Work Ticket management allows you to enter a work ticket, post material issues, and labor entries, and then complete and close the work ticket. You can also print forms and reports and view inquiries.
    • Complete Work Ticket – With this visual process flow you can finalize work tickets, print reports, work ticket labels, and view work ticket history inquiry.
    • Close Work Ticket – After a close transaction is updated for a work ticket you can easily print reports, ledgers, and work order labels.
  • Dynamic Materials and Dynamic Labor Materials – You can now control how materials and labor are recorded to a work ticket. This feature is available for subscription users only.
  • There are several other additional feature upgrades in Sage 100 2022. Some of these include:
    • Advanced Lookup Engine (ALE) Lookups – You can now easily view inventory across all locations, whether active or inactive.
    • Sales Order and Quote History Inquiry – View order type, ship date for standard orders and backorders, and the expiry date for quotes.
    • Search for Quotes in Customer Maintenance – Easily view all open orders for a customer or a given type of order or quote without running a separate report.
    • Hot Fixes No Longer Require Admin Privileges – While product updates still require admin rights you can now install Sage 100 hotfixes without running as an Administrator.
    • Inventory Image File Types Expanded – Item maintenance can now attach the following image types – bmp, png, jpg, jpeg, gif, and tiff.
    • History Options Default to Five Years – Instead of the previous two years, now when you set up a new company the History options for Years to retain history now defaults to five years.
